Terms of service

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These terms apply when you use TurfLab. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Educational information, not professional advice

TurfLab provides educational lawn-care information and planning tools. It is not professional agronomic, horticultural, legal, or safety advice, and it does not replace a soil test or an assessment by a qualified local professional.

Product labels and local law control. Always read and follow the label of any product you use, including application rates, timing, restrictions, and safety instructions. If TurfLab guidance conflicts with a label or local rule, the label and local rule win.

Your responsibilities

  • Use the site lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt or abuse it.
  • Do not submit false information or someone else's personal data.
  • Verify quantities and product compatibility before purchasing or applying anything.
  • Keep your account credentials secure when accounts are available.

Accounts and paid features

Accounts, paid plans, and downloads are being added over time. Additional terms may apply to a paid feature before you can buy it, including pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms. We will not charge you without showing those terms first.

Our content

The site, text, design, and tools are owned by TurfLab or used with permission. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial lawn care. Do not republish substantial portions without written permission. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Third-party links and affiliate relationships

Some links may lead to third-party retailers or services. We do not control their content, pricing, availability, or policies. Some links may earn us a commission, as explained in the affiliate disclosure. A commission does not determine whether a product is recommended.

Availability and changes

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, be suspended, or be removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every calculation is free of error, though we test the important ones.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TurfLab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or lawn outcomes arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
