Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: November 2, 2026

TurfLab may earn a commission when you buy a product through some links on this site. This page explains how that works and what it does not change.

Current status

No affiliate links are live yet. When they are, they will be labelled next to the link, not buried in a footer.

What a commission means

  • You pay the same price you would pay by visiting the retailer directly.
  • The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
  • It never changes whether a product is recommended or how products are ranked.
  • If no suitable product exists, we show no offer.

How recommendations work

Suitability comes first: grass compatibility, intended use, established versus new turf, region, season, warnings, and label restrictions. Commercial relationships are considered only after a product qualifies on those grounds. Sponsored placements, when they exist, are clearly labelled and kept separate from editorial rankings.

Prices and availability

Retail prices and stock change constantly. We only show a price when it has been verified recently and comes from an approved source. Otherwise the link says "check price" and you confirm the current price at the retailer.

Clicks are not sales

We count outbound clicks to understand what is useful. A click is not a sale, and we do not report clicks as revenue. Commission reporting uses the affiliate network's actual settlement data.

Questions

If a disclosure is unclear or a recommendation looks wrong, email support@turflab.org. We would rather fix it than defend it.
